We have designed this walking holiday so you can enjoy the scenery without the heavy burden of carrying your clothes or a heavy pack. Walk with as little as your camera, lunch and water each day and we will take care of your bags being transported to your accommodation.

Day 1: Adelaide - Ironstone Hill Hike - Seal Bay Conservation Park
SUGGESTED PRE-TOUR ACCOMMODATION:We suggest the Mantra Hindmarsh Square Adelaide, which is also our meeting point for the first morning.
MEET TIME:6:30 am
TRAIL NOTES:4.3km, 2 hours of walking with breaks, easy to moderate, afternoon 0.5km walk, 30 minutes, easy to moderate.
TERRAIN:Well maintained sand and gravel trail, up and down hill. stairs leading up Prospect Hill.
WALK ITINERARY:Begin your adventure with a rendezvous in the welcoming foyer of the Mantra Hindmarsh Square at the serene hour of 6:30 am. We’ll then embark on a picturesque journey to Cape Jervis on the Fleurieu Peninsula, where the Sealink ferry awaits to whisk us away to Kangaroo Island. Today’s escapade commences with a delightful jaunt up Ironstone Hill, where verdant grassy slopes tumble gracefully into the azure embrace of the ocean, offering enchanting coastal vistas. Afterwards wetransfer to the Seal Bay Conservation Park on the south coast of Kangaroo Island. This region has been home for thousands of years to an Australian sea-lion colony, and the Conservation Park plays a significant role in ensuring this remote population is protected in order to continue to thrive. During our visit, you will be escorted by one of the Conservation Park’s qualified Rangers on a short stroll along the boardwalk and down onto the beach to see the wild sea-lions in their natural habitat. The Ranger will provide you with a broad range of information and answer any questions you may have about these majestic creatures.Later we make our way to our sanctuary on the northern coast at Headland Lodge. Ideally located overlooking stunning Kangaroo Cove, this is one of the finest accommodation’s on the island.Dinner at our beach lodge promises a feast for both the palate and the eyes, with our waterfront location providing a stunning backdrop.
Day 2: Kelly Hill Caves to Hanson Bay & Admirals Arch
TRAIL NOTES: 9km, 3.5 hours walking with breaks, Easy Grade. Admirals Arch 1.5km return, approx. 1 hour.
TERRAIN:Gently undulating trail on mostly compact surfaces, with a short beach-walking section at the end. Admirals Arch walk on pathways and boardwalks, with stairs leading down to the viewing point.
WALK ITINERARY:Following breakfast, our path leads to the start of today’s journey, tracing from Kelly Hill Caves to the picturesque Hanson Bay. This trail, a highlight of Kangaroo Island and the final leg of the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail, promises a diverse tapestry of landscapes, including banksia heath, pink gum woodland, and coastal heath. Starting amidst bushland, we’ll catch glimpses of freshwater lagoons before descending to the coast, culminating in a serene beach walk along Hanson Bay. After a satisfying lunch, a brief transfer leads us to Admirals Arch, where a leisurely stroll offers breathtaking coastal vistas. Marvel at the flourishing fur seal colony and extraordinary geological formations before returning to our waterfront lodge for a relaxing dinner accompanied by fine South Australian wines.
Day 3: Snake Lagoon to Cape du Couedic
TRAIL NOTES:15kms, 6.5-7 hours walking with breaks, Medium Grade. Remarkable Rocks – approx. 1km return, Easy Grade
TERRAIN:Mostly gentle undulations on compact surfaces of gravel, broken limestone or sand, and a 1.5km stretch of beach-walking
WALK ITINERARY:Enjoy a lovely breakfast before transferring to the start of our walk at Snake Lagoon, where we will begin our walking journey to Cape de Couedic, wandering along the spectacular rugged coastline of the Flinders Chase National Park. Not long after starting today’s walk, you will see your first magnificent panorama of the Southern Ocean. Along the way, you can spot beautiful coastal plants and if you’re lucky, you may see bottle-nosed dolphins, seals or sea-lions frolicking in the waves off this exposed panoramic coastline.
On completion, we take a short drive to Remarkable Rocks for a 1km walk to explore these magnificent natural granite sculptures that rise like art forms out of the surrounding earth. We then make our way back to our accommodation for another superb dinner, accompanied by South Australia wines.
Day 4: Remarkable Rocks - Sanderson Bay Walk - Adelaide
TRAIL NOTES:8 km, 3.5 hours, medium grade.
TERRAIN:Mostly gentle undulations on compact surfaces of gravel, broken limestone or sand.
WALK ITINERARY:Embark on a breathtaking walk from the iconic Remarkable Rocks to the serene Sanderson Bay on Kangaroo Island. This scenic coastal trail offers an unforgettable blend of natural beauty, where rugged granite formations give way to stunning sandy shores and crystal-clear waters. As you traverse this 6km path, enjoy panoramic views of the Southern Ocean, with the opportunity to spot local wildlife, including kangaroos, echidnas, and a variety of bird species. The trail meanders through diverse landscapes, from wind-swept cliffs to peaceful coves, culminating at the tranquil Sanderson Bay—a perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings. Later we make our way to Penneshaw.

If you are a solo traveller willing to share a room, we will attempt to match you with another solo traveller of the same gender. If we can’t find you a match of the same gender by around 8 weeks prior to the tour, you will be charged the single supplement cost.
For those wanting to guarantee their own room, a single supplement cost will be charged at the time of booking.
Due to only six rooms at this accommodation, we are unable to offer single supplements in the main house. Solo travellers will be required to share a twin room with another solo travellers of the same gender. For those wanting their own room (or those wanting to share who we can’t find a match for) an additional Single Supplement fee will apply of $275 per person, you will stay in a nearby accommodation of the same standard and eat all meals and socialise in the main house.

Refunds or cancellations are not permitted for Sale Tickets however, transfers to another date are permitted 8 weeks or more prior to departure. We advise taking out travel insurance in case unexpected circumstances prior to the trip, prevent you from joining this tour. Early bird or Spot Special discounts cannot be used in conjunction with another offer. We have partnered with Cover-More to provide travel insurance to our guests. * A deposit of $300 per person is required to secure your booking. (unless taking advantage of Earlybird or Spot Specials in which full payment is required at time of booking).

* Prices are based on twin share of rooms. If you are travelling solo you may be required to share with someone of the same gender. If this is not suitable you can request to pay a single supplement, however, limited single rooms are available per trip so are on a request basis.
